Who is still active here? I miss all y'all and actually have time at home to chat these days. Post here to let us all know if the forum still has active folks. would love to catch up with everyone. What is everyone and their flock up to these days?

I have a 5-ish month old son, on top of my flock (Goo and Loo the caiques, Rah Rah the Amazon, and Francis and Fanny the Budgies). I still have Squawk and Howl pet sitting/behavioral consults, but we keep it in the family now- no contractors for now in these tight economic times. I am also in grad school- 2nd year getting an M.Div.

2 years after my divorce, my partner and I moved (after 5 years at the old Hen House) and now we are in an apartment, not a house. But I actually like it better. Hardwood floors throughout the apartment and stone tile in the kitchen (we use the eat-in part of the kitchen for the cages). It's sunny and just as large as our little house!

My son's name is Rowan. He's amazing and the cutest baby on earth (I know, all moms say that).

How about you?
L to R: Tallulah, Tengu, Rah Rah, and Goo and Loo again!

Here, once a day. Have my 4 guys, Bill, and GCC squad Zoey Zora John, same dogs Brenna and Logan (adding titles to their names though), new cat Rummy. Pizza passed away on valentine's day. Kitten Rummy is finally to the point where I dont have to spray bottle her off birds and can just scream at her ;) She is young and stupid about birds - To trusting of Bill, does not get the danger, and too interested in GCCs who are SO NOT AFRAID and get themselves in trouble. She sleeps on the top of GCC cage when I am at work. They seem to not care and Zoey occasionally plucks her... They are definitely developing a relationship. Bill allows Rummy to share a chair as long as she does not bat at him... when she get frisky he kicks her off. We moved to the CO mountains - much nicer town, no yard so it sucks for the dogs since they dpnt get to romp around and lazy in the dirt. Its all good though. Birds claimed my office instead of the back room and successfully turned the house into their play area.

Hello,

Dani you have to post a picture of your son!!! :)

Natalie is 2 1/2!! I can hardly believe it. She is wonderful. She loves to talk, read, play, etc.

Birds: well you all knew that Meadow and Beau passed away when Natalie was about 3 weeks old. We still have crazy old Abby. Abby is still his usual goofy self. Not much has changed about him.

Natalie has asthma and allergies to cats and dogs. We did some research since she really wanted a furry pet and we now have two guinea pigs; Pickles and Gizmo. They are my first guinea pigs and they are so sweet. They don't nip and are so sweet. Glenn and I built them a huge cage so they are spoiled.

I did a few childcare jobs after Natalie was born to help with money, but I did not return to work full time outside the home. I am now officially "self employed." I work from home and have contracts with three clients. My biggest one is as a search engine evaluator. It is nice because I work around Natalie's schedule, not my job's.

I have some recent photos of Abby on my phone, I'll have to send them to my email..so I can post. BUT he basically looks the same. Abby is Abby. lol

Here is a picture of Natalie and I a few months ago:

I still come around to check in on here now and then and I am so thrilled for you Dani! Congrats on the new baby, what a life changing thing and I am so happy for you. I know Carissa changed my life in such good ways that I couldn't ever imagine not having her around now. I for one would really like to read your bird stories again and also see some pics of your new son.

I dont have any pets now, nothing not even a fish these days. I do get to bird sit my sisters amazon Mango every now and then but he is somewhat a big butt so I dont have as much fun and with him because he likes to bite me when he gets excited. Many here know a biting Amazon can really hurt so Mango is a hands off bird here and gets loves only when he bends over and begs me to scritch him.

My sweet little girl that you all know is a women now. She just graduated from high school and is taking it easy for a bit until she finds work to put herself through cosmetology school. She is still my sweetheart, we are still super close and she is not planning to go anywhere too soon. Me, I just want her to get a job and start getting more responsible because once they grow up you just hope somehow they can get out there and really succeed. In these days it is hard for anyone to get a job especially a 18 year old with no experience except pet and kid sitting :) Here is a picture of my little girl, who is only little in my eyes.

This is my favorite picture of her, she has my smile in this picture I am told by my friends

Me and John we have been just enjoying life and camping, hiking, pedal biking and riding our Motorcycles every chance we can. I just celebrated my birthday on the 4th of July up at Tahoe for 3 days and 2 nights and just loved it. We camped out and took our bikes with us and pedalled all over the place exploring. If we couldnt ride it we walked it or climbed it so today I am pooped and all bruised up from our adventures but loved every minute of it. We are into getting away from people and learned years ago to get away from the normal tourists all you need to do is go a little further down the trail and branch off on smaller ones and you will have the place to yourself. We hiked to Fallen Leaf Lake which is just above Tahoe and had this great beach to ourselves all morning on Tuesday. Later we rode our bikes up this small dirt road and then locked them up and hiked up this creek to this nice waterfall and had the place all to ourselves, truly it was amazing. I would post wonderful pics but have none :( I forgot the camera at home.

Its great catching up on what is happening to everyone. Where did you move to Alena? My brother moved from Woodland Park 3 months ago and is now living in Tucson. He still wishes he lived in the nice mountains. I am so sorry to hear about Pizza.

Sarah, Natalie is beautiful and I am happy your able to stay at home with her now. They grow up so fast and to be there with them will mean everything in the world to you once they get the age of Carissa. I still find it so hard that my baby has grown up so to both you and Dani, love them, hold them and cherish them because they grow up way too fast.

Hugs to everyone!!

Deanna, your baby girl is as beautiful as ever! Nice job ;)
We moved to Golden. Higher elevation, mountain view, trails close by. Right now we are not going up the mountains for snake reasons... and its over 100F during the day...
Super tired recently - work and life, but its all good :D
